Discovering Inground Pump Stations
ONLINE WORKSHOP Presented by Nick Moore |
1 Formal CPD Hour 3:45 PM AEST |
Introduction
An inground pump station is an efficient solution when gravity-reliant sewerage systems are not possible due to limited site access and site constraints. This is becoming more relevant with the release of new land parcels by Government and developers that cannot always access Council mains. In this presentation, we will discuss the issues surrounding inaccessibility to gravity drainage and the alternate solutions available.
Presenter:
Nick has been involved in the plumbing industry for over 40 years. First with plumbing resellers then with various manufacturers. With over 11 years with Saniflo, Nick recognised the need for this type of solution from talking to various Councils, architects, and hydraulic consultants over the years.
Recognising the need to raise awareness of alternate solutions and for education in the industry, he has written CPD for architects, hydraulic consultants and plumbers. This has led to developing student workbooks and teacher presentation materials to cover the relevant elective CPCPSN3026 “Install sewerage pumpsets” within CPC32420 Cert 111 in Plumbing.
At the end of the presentation attendees will be able to:
-
- What are inground pump stations?
- Why would they be needed?
- How they differ from small-bore macerators, grey water pumps, and lifting stations.
