A Sustainable Way of Building with ZEGO Building Systems
ONLINE WORKSHOP Presented by Scott Evans |
1 Formal CPD Hour 3:45 PM AEST |
Introduction
The aim of this presentation will be to provide an overview and also outline the thermal and acoustic properties, design applications and benefits of reduced energy consumption of this product. Scott Evans, the presenter has an extensive background of experience in Building and Project Management and has been actively involved in the development of ZEGO Building Systems to approach sustainable building by offering a system that is energy efficient and fully recyclable.
Biography
Scott Evans, the presenter has an extensive background of experience in Building and Project Management and has been actively involved in the development of ZEGO Building Systems to approach sustainable building by offering a system that is energy efficient and fully recyclable.
At the end of the presentation attendees will be able to:
● The relationship between thermal efficiency vs weatherproofing vs health and amenity.
● Understand how WRBs (Sarking) are designed and installed to manage moisture.
● Why rigid air barriers may be required to support the membranes in façade design and what properties of rigid air barriers are desirable.
● How the use of vapour permeable materials and use of intelligent air barriers (IABs) mitigate the risk of mould growth.
● To understand why weathertight buildings can increase the risk of condensation and subsequent mould growth.
● Deemed to satisfy NCC compliance with Health and amenity clauses vs using verified design solutions to deliver buildings that actually work.
